HKU Master of Buddhist Studies 2012-13 – In Search of Sustainable Happiness
Centre of Buddhist Studies of The University of Hong Kong is now inviting applications for admission to the Master of Buddhist Studies degree programme for the academic year 2012-13. This programme is not only an opportunity for you to learn about Buddhist teachings in a systemic and comprehensive way, but is also a chance for you to understand more about yourself and the path to sustainable happiness.
Programme Objectives:
-- to offer quality teaching on the fundamental understanding and in-depth analysis of Buddhism
-- to elucidate on the application of Buddhist teachings in modern society
Areas of Study:
-- history and doctrines of various Buddhist traditions
-- contemporary Buddhism
-- Buddhism as applied in counselling, palliative care and psychotherapy
-- scriptural languages and textual studies
